  • George W. Bush surprises veterans at Daughters of World War II Luncheon

    Bush also made a surprise appearance at the Daughters of World War II “Celebration of Heroes Among Us” at the Hilton Anatole, where he talked about his father, former President George H.W. Bush, who served in the Navy in World War II. “He never talked about the war,” Bush said, adding his father was like many World War II veterans who were “short on words and long on action.”
